MEET peter
As an Independant Celebrant, I get to know, and work with you to make the occasion personalised and memorable whether it be the joy of a wedding, Vow Renewal, Naming ceremony, or the sadness of a funeral.
We’ll meet, so I can ask you a thousand questions (eg for a wedding, about how you met, who made the first move etc), and make sure all arrangements/options are considered/covered and then find the right words, or story, that needs to be told on the day in order for it to be genuine, memorable and personal.
Born in South of England to Scottish Father/German Mother, went to Grammar School (that’s how old I am !) then did an amazing apprenticeship at the Atomic Weapons Establishment in Aldermaston where, in my final year, I was voted Chairman of the Apprentices Association and made presentations to Lord William Penney, and HM Queen Elizabeth II.
I went into private industry as a Toolmaker for a couple of years, then emigrated to South Africa for 10yrs where I met and married my Scottish wife and had a son. We then went to live and work in Saudi Arabia for 8yrs where our second son was born. After that we lived in Helensburgh, Scotland where I worked at the Faslane Naval Base until I started working with London Underground/Transport for London which involved flying up and down to London for a couple of years before we decided to move down to Hampshire/Berkshire border where I grew up.
